Our Vacation In Canada in July 2001

We flew from Houston to Cleveland to Toronto to Sudbury. Then Mom picked us up at the Sudbury Airport in one of their camp vans. We stopped for dinner at the Busy Bee Restaurant, and then drove through the booming town of Gore Bay on Manitoulin Island. Gore Bay features a nice boating marina and pavillion. There is also a playground which Katie beth and Jeremy made use of during the week.

While at Camp Adanac, we got to catch up on sleep. We also got to go to the beach, hike the trails, jog up the road, go boating, play basketball, and eat great meals without having to wash dishes.

Katie Beth and Jeremy had a good time playing in the water at the beach, but Tom thought it was too cold for swimming.

We took about 10 rolls of film and also had a few hours of camcorder footage. We even took a 2 hr video of the sun setting over Lake Huron. The sunsets were gorgeous ! While we were there, we also had opportunity to celebrate the 4th of July, which is no big deal in Canada. But for Americans it is a REALLY BIG DEAL worth celebrating.
