Thanksgiving Week in Sedona, AZ in 2009

Date of LAST EDIT = 03/15/2013

This was the first year that we made use of Diamond Resort Timeshare Points inherited from Dad, who passed away in late 2008. There was such an excessive number of points saved up from past years on Dad's timeshare account at Diamond Resorts that we were faced with a "use it or lose it" situation. We booked resort accommodations for two 2BR units and two 1BR units, which we shared with friends and relatives to enjoy with us.

During the week we enjoyed hiking around the area. We got together with friends and relatives to eat at local restaurants and enjoy the amenties of the resort. In addition to my family (Elizabeth, Jeremy, Katie, and myself), our extended crowd included Greg's family (with Pam, Karen and Dana), our cousin George and his wife Kathy from Prescott, and friends Randy and Kathy Kaufmann from Payson. During part of the week, we had a visit from Mary Beth Hill.

We spent a great deal of time at Tlaquepaque. Out entire crowd enjoyed Thanksgiving Dinner together at Joey's Bistro in Tlaquepaque. Joey's hosted an all-you-can-eat buffet, which featured a variety of salads, meats, vegetables, fruit, and desserts. In addition to the anticipated baked turkey, they also served ham, prime rib, salmon, and shrimp. Veges included mashed potatos, sweet potatos, corn on the cob, green beans, broccoli, colliflower, asparagus, rice, etc. Needless to say, we all ate and ate until it was a struggle to get up from the table.
