Katie Beth & Jeremy set up the Christmas tree
with Molly's help and interference. The tree is
obviously fake, and the kids help daddy assemble it
each year and put the ornaments on it.

Below is the fireplace mantel covered with angels.... before all
the stockings were hung. Below the mantle is the
manger scene that Elizabeth and Katie Beth assembled in front

We went to NASA Johnson Space Center and rode the tram
to tour the astronaut training center.

We saw the historic tallship Elissa. In the background is
a large cruise ship, which is carrying holiday guests out
into the Gulf of Mexico.

We toured the shops and sites up and down the historic region
known as the Galveston Strand. On this street corner in the
Strand is a large chess game, which is available for the public
to match wits with others.

While in Galveston, we also went to the beach and collected
sea shells. We listened to the waves roll in. We dodged the surf.
We had dinner at Joe's Crab Shack.
On the next day, we went to see the Houston Museum of Natural Science
They had a special exhibit of artifacts collected from the Titanic.
We saw an IMAX movie about the Titanic.
